The basics
MotorPath is operated by Workshop Software Pty Ltd (we, us). By creating an account or using motorpath.com.au you agree to these terms. If you are using MotorPath for a workshop you confirm you are authorised to act for it.
MotorPath is free to use. We connect workshops with technicians and apprentices; we are not a recruitment agency, an employer, or a party to any employment relationship that results. Decisions about who to interview, hire or accept an offer from are yours.
Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep control of that inbox; anyone with access to it can sign in as you. Tell us if you think your account has been used without your permission.
You must be at least 15 years old to hold an account, and if you are under 18 we recommend a parent or guardian is aware you are using the platform. You must give us accurate information and keep it current.
Rules for workshops
You may only post vacancies for genuine roles at a business you represent. Every vacancy must state a pay range that is at or above the minimum in the applicable modern award or enterprise agreement, and that you are genuinely prepared to pay. Advertising a rate below the legal minimum is unlawful under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and we will not publish it.
Vacancies must not discriminate on grounds protected by law (including age, sex, race, disability, pregnancy, family responsibilities, religion, sexual orientation, and political opinion), must not request information we prohibit (such as date of birth or visa status), and must not contain misleading claims. We screen wording and may edit, hold or remove a listing that breaches these rules, and may suspend a workshop that repeatedly does so.
Applicant information is provided to you only to consider that person for the role they applied for. You must not add applicants to marketing lists, share their details with third parties, contact them about unrelated matters, or keep their information longer than your own recruitment and record keeping obligations require. You are responsible for complying with the Privacy Act in how you handle it.
We ask you to keep applicants informed: mark applications as shortlisted, interviewing, hired or not this time so people know where they stand, and mark a vacancy as filled when it is.
Rules for technicians and apprentices
Your profile and applications must be truthful. Do not claim qualifications, licences or experience you do not hold. Do not apply to roles you have no intention of considering.
Information you see about a workshop is for deciding whether to apply or accept a role. Do not scrape, copy or republish it.
Rules for everyone
Do not use MotorPath to harass, threaten or abuse anyone, to send spam, to post unlawful or offensive content, to impersonate others, to interfere with the service, or for any purpose other than finding or filling automotive roles.
You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us a licence to display and distribute it on MotorPath for the purpose of running the platform. You confirm you have the right to post it, including any photos.
Moderation
We may review, edit for compliance, hold, remove or refuse any content, and may suspend or close any account, where we reasonably believe these terms or the law have been breached or the platform's integrity is at risk. We will tell you why where we reasonably can. You can contact us to dispute a decision.
What we do not promise
We do not verify the identity, qualifications or claims of workshops or technicians beyond the checks described on the site. We do not guarantee that a vacancy will receive applications, that an application will receive a response, or that any hire will result. The service is provided as is, and may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn.
To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of MotorPath or from dealings between users. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version and material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions go to hello@motorpath.com.au.
